Quality Assurance Systems in Academics at RRU

  • Research based Teaching University (RbTU): From conventional teaching to research-based teaching will be enabled along with choice-based credit system in this academic year at RRU. This will enhance the quality of the curricula and also enrich the quality output of students. Also, faculty will be benefitted by bringing their own research to the classrooms and increase their productivity both in teaching and research. 
  • Accreditation Status: RRU has recently shifted to a 250-acre state of the art campus located at Lavad, Gandhinagar. Preparations are on anvil to gain the distinction of NIRF, 12B (UGC), and NAAC Accreditation. Currently, IQAC of RRU ensures the quality of academic programmes. 
  • Innovations in curricular design and transaction: The academic programmesof RRUare aligned and designed towards the requirements of the industry and law enforcement agencies. Two to three subject experts of national repute are involved in the drafting of syllabus. All the programmes / courses focus on employability/ entrepreneurship/ skill development. Value-added courses imparting transferable and life skills are added in all programmes. 
  • Inter-disciplinary and Multi-disciplinary programmes: The RRU boasts of interdisciplinary programmes where the students are given an opportunity for empowerment and exposure to various dimensions of criminal justice system such as policing, law, forensics, and criminology. All the schools are aligned thematically with a focus on security and policing. All schools contribute, co-develop other schools and enrich their activities and the academic activities are multi-disciplinary. 
  • Linkages / MoU’s developed with National/ International, academic/research bodies, industries, and law enforcement agencies: The quality assurance systems at RRU are in place and we strive to revisit our quality assurance systems by establishing symbiotic linkages with reputed institutions and universities in India and abroad. Some of the reputed partners of RRU are National Police Academy, Hyderabad, North Eastern Police Academy, Shillong, Gujarat Forensic Science University, Gujarat University, PDPU, Israel Security College, Forensic Science Laboratory, Madhya Pradesh, CID, Gujarat, Ahmedabad City Police, MICA, UNICEF Gujarat, University of Portsmouth, and Southampton Solent University, UK.These linkages with institutions/industries are utilized for student internship, on-the-job training, project work, sharing of research facilities etc 
  • Teachers use ICT for effective teaching and E-content developed by teachers (e-PG-Pathshala):  All the RRU teachers use innovative teaching methods using ICT for effective teaching. Some of the RRU teachers have developed courses for UGC e-PG-Pathshala. 
  • Students and Teachers provided with financial support to attend conferences / workshops: RRU has a policy in place to provide financial support to both students and faculty members to present papers at conferences/workshops. This support encourages both students and teachers to attend conferences and workshops both in India and abroad. 
  • Consultancy Services: RRU provides consultancy services through high quality forensic analytical support to law enforcement agencies. Shortly, the consultancy services of cyber security audits and crime data analytics will be launched at RRU.
