Shaheedon Ko Naman: A Tribute to Police Martyrs
The School of National Security and Police Administration, Raksha Shakti University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat remembered Police Martyrs by acknowledging the contributions made by the bravehearts who laid down their lives in safeguarding ours.
The event began with Dr. Akshat Mehta, Associate Professor & Dean of the School welcoming all and sharing the details of ‘Elocution’, ‘Poster Making’ and ‘Slogan Writing’ Competitions, which were held to mark the Police Commemoration Day (Shaheedon ko Naman: A Tribute to Police Martyrs).
Sh. D. S. Patel, Assistant Professor, Police Administration elaborated upon the significance of Police Commemoration Day.
Sh. K. V. Ravi Kumar, Dean, Academic Affairs complimented the School for its thoughtfulness in organizing the event of this nature.
The Chief Guest of the Event – Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Director-General, Raksha Shakti University exhorted the youngsters to understand and share the pain of serving police personnel and the sacrifice of martyrs as well as their families. He asked the students and faculty members to visit police memorials and places, which provides inspiration to our younger generations.
The event was woven around a Prize Distribution Ceremony for the events (‘Elocution’, ‘Poster Making’ and ‘Slogan Writing’ Competitions) held to mark the Police Commemoration Day.
The event concluded with Programme Convener Sh. N. R. Jadhav and Co-Convener, Sh. Bhawani Sinh Rathore requesting the Chief Guest to plant a Tulsi Sapling in the School Courtyard in the memory of Pulwama Martyrs.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Sh. Abhishek Awadh, Assistant Professor, Police Administration.
